We have been contacted by two gentlemen from Penzance - Mikey West and Mike Dash.  Mike worked for Devon County Council in the 1960s and designed our school when it was brand new.  He and Mikey have shared some photos of the original designs and also the first model before it was very built.  I know lots of people have links to our school and some have family members who attended Southmead in its first year!

It is amazing how some things haven't changed and we have even gone back to round lights in our hall!

Mikey did comment that he had visited our school website and was very impressed by our school dinner menu!
